The trend in the office is more to wear casual clothing in the UK or any other country, with women who do not really dress to work anymore. While the male dress code is still rather strict stay with the business suits, women move toward jeans and heels at the office.

We have to admit that it is a pity not to see many women wearing a tailor-skirt or a dress.
That is quite strange to see the difference between men and women at the office and that their dress code has not changed in the same way. It is unthinkable to have a man who is often in touch with clients to wear a jean. But trends evolve even in the office and we can see more and more men wearing professional looking jeans with proper shoes in offices. It is obvious though that the traditional suit is not staying in the dressing and it is very often what men wear when they have to go to meeting and to see clients but depending on the area they work in, this is starting to change.
It is not because some companies have put into place the Friday wear for instance that men should go crazy with their clothes on Friday and wear weird things. We can stay trendy even on Fridays by wearing casual and good looking clothes.
Instead of wearing an old jumper or even a hoodie, try to go for a casual shirt and a casual but classy pair of jeans. You will definitely look more casual than with a suit and you will not look like you are going to mow your garden or that you are going to the gym.

Imagine just for a second that a client you are dealing with during the week pops in at your office on a Friday without giving you any notice.
What do you think your client is going to think about the company and you if you see him with an old pair of jeans and sneakers or even with a short and a tee shirt? You will certainly not do much business with that company unless you work for a sport company or anything related with entertainment.
But you can still be in comfortable clothes, but look casual and smart. Keep in mind that you are still are work and that anything could happen, even on a Friday.

It exists various great fashion designers outside England and the UK like Kitsune, Pierre Hardy or even Common Projects and Mykita who do great clothes and accessories for men.
