As we all know there are certain things you do on a date and certain things you don’t do. Here’s some hints on what not to do when it comes to dating:
1. Don’t talk about your ex lovers
This is the biggest thing that no one should do on a date. This means avoiding all conversation that involves your ex in any way, shape or form. To be honest for the other person it sends the message that you are not ready to move on and that you’re not interested in them, this is the last thing you want to be portraying on a date.
2. Don’t talk about your self all night
Try to make the conversation two way, you can both talk about your selves but don’t fall into the trap of talking about yourself all night. Ask them what they interested in outside their job? What hobbies they have? What type of movies they are interested in? Then you can tell them things your interested in as well, try to make the conversation equal not one sided.
3. Don’t drink too much on your first date
Limit yourself to one or two alcoholic beverages during the night and you can always alternate with water to make sure you don’t get tipsy, especially before dinner.
4. Don’t sleep with them
Ladies this ones for you, if your looking for a relationship hold off the physical side until you know them better. This will mean that you will know the person better and they will respect you for it as well.
5. Don’t tell them you love them
Declarations of love are always a big no no on first dates, stick to compliments and conversation that isn’t too heavy. Get to know your date better and have fun while you’re in the honey moon phase.
6. Don’t push another date
Leave the date in a nice but confident manner – let the other person decide if there will be another date. This means you will know how interested they are and you can leave the worrying to them.
7. Don’t lie about yourself
In the end you will only get caught out and most people will see this in a bad light. Be honest and open about who you are and what you believe in.
8. Don’t be over confident
Being cocky isn’t something that women or men appreciate, we all like confidence but not too much. Just be yourself and then you can take it from there.
